All Gingerbread women must die.
Various Locations, 2003
Performance with prints, video, and baking or real gingerbread cookie
(2 ½ meters and taking 6 hours).
Gingerbread, heaters, bricks, metal, prints
Using a public space a 2 ½ meter tall gingerbread woman is baked (the
dough is rolled out, cut and baked at the site). The "performance" is
scheduled at the end of the work day of the space and the occupants of
the building who have seen and smelled the baking (which takes 6 hours
in total) are invited to "consume" the woman as the "performance". Performance
was the actual eating of the cookie by invited guests within their own
working space (the cookie was baked in the same space so it was seen and
smelled all throughout the working day).
